Almendra Tamariz was born in Lima, Peru. She is an illustrator and graphic designer. As a child, her family vacations would include frequent travel to the Cajamarca region in the northern Andes, where she felt connected to nature. She has worked creating visual content and publications for brands and nonprofit organizations. In addition her illustrations have been showcased in local exhibitions. Currently, she is a freelance graphic artist and continues to explore illustration and artists’ books, with a special interest in depicting nature, human sensitivity, love and empathy.
